Title: Sit down driving cabs

ive been hearing about various projects and have seen one that is ambitious.  This info ive found will most likely not be used mainly for cost and space reasons but is rather good.  I was wondering were can car seats-actual seats-be purcahsed with the exception of junkyards?  thanks.

A dealership can set you up with a car seat, though it would cost you 5 times what you'd pay at a junkyard. It would have that "new car" smell if that's important to you.

Race car suppliers have real racing seats, if you gotta have a Recaro, Sparco, or Butler racing seat.

If you want a Porsche, Ferrari, or some other exotic sports car seat for your sit down cab, talk to the guys at your friendly neighborhood chop shop. ;)

You're going to get beat hard if you go to a car dealer. If you don't want to get one from a junkyard, the best price for a new seat would be to buy a racing seat from somewhere. Summit Racing has this one. It's 200 bucks, and available in a variety of colors. Looks very cool, too. If you go Recaro or something, figure on spending almost a grand.

I just didnt want something that a little kid or animal pissed on or something that has been sitting in the rain so to speak.  The one Ascar9 linked looks like the one for steel battilon- has another idea for a cab- maybe i could use those chairs bestbuy is selling and modify them somewhat.  thanks for the suggestions/info.
