i was at work today and they put out a display model
basically its a midway machiner
very small (compared to real ones)
it has 12 games and a 11-13" screen?
it has the ability to expand
i figured this might be good for someone who doesnt have the skill to build a cabinet then i really looked at it.... no
now the site says 499.99 i think the one in store was 449.99
and the one in my store didnt lok as good as the site so check them out before blowing the cash
oh yes also the buttons are the worst push buttons ive ever seen and the sticks are those of a tv game
Midway Home Use Arcade Machine

Well it might not be that bad if it is possible to switch out the joysticks and buttons and the quality of the games are top notch. I have my doubts though. Maybe the monitor and cabinet are worth something though.

Damn.. Target in Australia is CRAP.. clothing, DVDs, toys.. its like the ultimate discount chain in Australia.. everyone laughs about it..

Damn things only 42" high. Midget machine
-
yeah its really small i said (i think) the buttons are horrible the games look like the arcade ones but the screen in an 11 or 13 incher its tiny our store has 2 in the back room and one on display i think our price was 450.... but the site says 500..... so i might be wrong
anyways i think midway plans on making expantion carts they fit far abouve the screen (thats where the origonal one is) also the cp has a reset button
-
Has anyone opened one? Is it based on an emulator on a PC or a proprietary board?
-
it uses a cart thats all i know i wasnt there when they assembeled it im guessing (most likely) sence its a midway product its basically a small tv game style board with buttons hooked up and a tv aparently thats all it is it even has tv inputs on it for hooking consoles up
-
took a better look
it appears to be in peices and it comes in a reather small box
its bolted together in a build it your damned self manner
and the screen looks terrible honestly its soo small theres room for a much bigger screen in that thing well not that much bigger
the push buttons are stale and not very sturdy
alot more people are looking to buy the xbox 360 which we have on display then the retrocade majiggy
they have "take away cards" where u bring it to a cashiere and they call the back to bring one up
