Title: Atari Flashback 2
Post by: Havok on November 16, 2005, 11:50:38 am
Anyone have the new Flashback 2? I was wondering how the joysticks feel. Are they close to the original? Apparently they are a new design, which is supposed to be more reliable than the originals.

Plus, how are the games? Faithful sound reproduction? I heard the Walmart batch had a defective or incorrect sound chip, so a couple of the games don't have sound where they should.

This is definitely on my Christmas list. I can't wait to see the reaction of my kids when they see what I used to play when I was their age. I bet they will still find it entertaining, even though the graphics are certainly not up to today's standards...

THe joysticks are supposed to have the same feel but made of better quality,

true the first batch had a defective sound chip

one BYOAC member is actually on the design team there's a thread somewhere in the main forum about it.

I did a full review of this for RetroBlast that I'm sure Kevin will post soon.

The joysticks are EXCELLENT and superior to the originals.

They are also a bit smaller (very tiny bit).
