Title: hmm, another clever scam?

i got this email supposedly from microsoft today, for a program ive never used before... at least that i remember. i never register any of this kind of crap anyway but this looks like a scam to me

I would forward that email to Microsoft. It sure sounds like a spoof, especially if you don't have that software.

Just look at the url that your email actually points to in the link.  If it's a scam, it will point to something other than Microsoft.com, likely an IP address rather than a DNS entry.

I bet someone just entered the wrong email address.  The program just came out a week
or two ago so a lot of people are registering it.

No, if I wanted to spam Seph, I'd spam in his mouth, not his inbox.
