After a very successful dumpster dive I now have 4 X Dell Optiplex G1s with P2 300, 128 Mb RAM (I will probably take the RAM from 2 and put in the other 2 so they will have 256Mb, any thoughts?). I am going to get 6.4Gb HDs for them as they dont have any and I can pick these up for $5-$10.
What I need to know is the best way to set these up to run MAME (bearing in mind that they lower spec machines and I would only be playing games like Time Pilot, Pac Man, Galaga etc).
I need a set up for pc monitor & for arcade monitor i.e. MAME version, front end, windows version etc. These mobos do not have AGP slots.
Thankyou all in advance.

I wouldn't think you'd have any problems with Windows 98 and the latest version of Mame32 on those machines with 256Meg RAM.

Um on those computers you would want to use an OLD versio of mame and dos to get everything nice and playable. The newer versions of mame seem to slow down greatly due to more features.
