Title: How much Power?
Post by: USSEnterprise on November 14, 2005, 11:17:47 am: How much power does an average arcade video game draw? Something like a PacMan with a 19" monitor. I want to set up a game room, but I don't want to have to rewire my basement

Post by: Ken Layton on November 14, 2005, 12:29:08 pm: For games with 19" monitors, average it out to 200 watts per machine. For 25" bump that up to 250 watts and for 27" bump that up to 300 watts.

But keep in mind ok, it's a TV, and a computer and a light in a box. Would you be worried about power if you were setting up a television, and a computer system in your basement?

(difference comes when you have dozens of machines)

Electromechanical pinballs draw considerably less at just 300 watts.
