Title: WG K7000 Pre-cap questions
Post by: Captain_Dingo on November 13, 2005, 04:02:46 pm
I've finally gotten around to getting the replacement parts for my K7000.  I stripped it down today, and when I flipped over the chassis board, I found a few extra parts from previous repairs.  I want to verify what I'm seeing with others and get any comments from the experts.

A picture of the back of the board is attached.  Can anyone confirm my assumptions and also comment on the ones I wasn't sure about?  Are any of these common repairs or fixes to this chassis?  When I put the new caps in, should I just leave all of these extra pieces around?  My plan here is to swap the caps and the flyback using the kit I got from Bob Roberts.

Thanks!

That actually may be factory work.  I've seen a lot of chassis' with similar parts on the solder side.

Yes, those were all put there at the factory. Leave those parts alone.

Point taken :)

Thanks for the help.  The only reason I assumed it was from a prior recap is that there's some blackening on some solder joints as if someone got them too hot while working.

I'm off to heat up the iron...
