Hey the point is getting nearer and nearer to where I will be making my huge Playcast-X3 (cubed). It will have an X-Box, Ps2, DC, and PC. I was just wondering, I have DDR for PS2 and wanted to know where to buy the parts for the pads you see in the arcades. Also I just got Beat Mania last night on my computer and also was wondering if it supported the turntables and buttons. If so where can I buy the arcade parts for these too. I am going to make a sick arcade system if you guys can help me out. It is going to be bigger than those huge MvC2 cabs!!! ;D. Thanx.

Here is a sturdy pad you can buy and you can use the PS2 USB converter being sold on this site to interface it.

Best DDR pad by far if you buy 2 then you'll get the middle double divider to make it exactly like the arcade. They haven't released the divider but when they do they'll ship it to you for free if you buy 2. About $700 after shipping.

Beatmania Controlers from Yesasia are pretty good. If you want just buy some Happ buttons and hack into a cheap turntable. The controller is hard to find but look on ebay they are around $100-$120 each.

In closing I'm pretty close to finishing the beatmania cabinet with 6 speakers, neon, 15 inch sub with the bottom acting as a ported box. I have a Japanesse PSX2 and all Beatmania/DDR games imported so I have to put it to good use...besides it's a major party hit.

Thanx for the help all. Looks like buying these things are way to expensive. I mean $700 :o!!! If I make them they would be a lot cheaper but I have no time. You know school and all. I need to work on getting good grades towards going to a good college. I guess I could buy the BM parts though. Until then I guess I will buy 2 of the turntable controls for it and just put 2 drawers in my cab that slide out so I can play ;D. I am still looking for a job so I can get some extra money for making this. You know how it is. Thanx.

Look on ebay, there are hard pads for like $70. $700 is very expensive.

Yeah I just checked it out SirPoonga, I saw like 2 pads for $1.00 starting price but s+h is like $60.00. It has like 3 days left on it tough so I guess i'll wait till like the last hour. Thanx.

Be very careful I've gone through 4 different kinds of pads and all were very bad quality. All of them cracked some had very bad wiring that had to be fixed once a month. I'm a DIEHARD DDR freak and some pads are downright lousy. The cobalt flux pads are FANTASTIC(have to love that nonbreakable lexan material). Just remember you get what you pay for. I'm just trying to save you some disappointment/time/money in the long run.
Here is a old pic of my DDR pad graveyard:

PS: Stay away from these!!!

Hey Industen all the pads in the graveyard seem to only be hard DDR pads. I was planning on getting one that is metal. Yeah I looked up those cobalts a few days ago and they are a pretty penny. I think they were $135 each. I am going to buy the ones made by Cypher Games. They sell them on their site for $150 each but $250 X 2. If you go on E-Bay the guy that owns Cypher Games is auctioning off these pads starting at a dollar X 2. The shipping is $60.00 though. Thanx.

You have to remember that I said I went through 4 different pads and yes the first 2 sets were the hard plastic ones. The other two metal pads were:
