Title: mame cab off without keyboard/mouse

can anyone tell me how to get my mame cab to switch off without using keyboard or mouse im using mame32 for windows ant ideas would be great

You could use AdvanceMame which will automatically exit after a time of inactivity. You could then run shutdown (http://www.rjlsoftware.com/software/utility/shutdown/) 3 FORCE. But I'm not exactly clear what you want to do here. Do you use a front end? What do you mean by "without using keyboard or mouse", do you mean by joystick? Most front-ends allow you to shutdown from a menu using the joystick. Do you mean by a swtich on your cab? Can you be a little more specific please.

lots of newer MOBO's, just push the POWER BUTTON once and it shutdown the system, holding the power button for more than 3 second CUTS off the power (not what you want), you want the first one. You can wire that to a hidden/secret button somwhere, so when done done, just push it once and shutdown it goes.
