Just curious what percentage of BYOAC folks bought the book, and if you did, where you bought it from...
...I have it and bought it at a Barnes and Noble retail store.
-
poll?
-
I've never started a poll, but I'll do it now.
-
I'll be buying it soon. Building two mini cabs and I need a scapegoat if something goes wrong. ;D
-
My MAME cab was already finished by the time it came out. I guess I should get a copy to help support my favorite website anyway.

got mine from amazon
-
b&n
-
I got mine. It's out on loan now though.
-
Bought it on Amazon.
Now that I look up the order, that's almost a year and a half ago and I have yet to make any progress on my cab. I'm such a procrastinator.
-
got mine from amazon, but found out about it from B&N sending me an email advertising the extreme tech series of books. I probably never would have thought of doing this if it wasn't for that email.
-
Bought it last year at Barnes & Noble retail.
-
I got mine at a retail Barnes and Noble. Probably over a year ago now.
-
Got mine even though my first cab was done. think I got it at amazon.
well worth it just for the CD! well..the UAII plans. ;)
Allroy
-
I do not.
I consider it beneath me. ;D
-
I don't have it either. And judging from how my cabinet came out, I didn't need it. I love the burned wood look with pits and the slight lean to the left gives it character. It's the "Shabby Chicade". ;)
-
I got it and it has become my favourite toilet book.
-
Got mine from Amazon. I found it very useful, especially for the mouse hack.
-
b&n.
Already finished my cabinet before I bought it though.
-
Oddly I have one I do not own. I told a co-worker about the whole scene, he rushed out and got it, and loaned it to me???? I never asked for it he just said hey check this out? He never asked for it back either, it is sitting right here in my office....bizzare
Oh, and I am much to cheap to buy one. Sooner or later it will be on craig's list...everything is...sooner or later....

Amazon Hooterific Cheesecake Babes From Mars wrote Project Arcade?
I bought 2 from B&N, and spiral-bound one to use for reference while working on stuff so I could lay it flat
-
your spiral bound one is awesome....
Saint another suggetion for then next on is to make it spiral bound..........
-
got mine from chapters.ca in canada!

Yeah, and NOT that ass hat "comb" binding ::)
The folks at Kinko's tried selling me on the comb dealy, and I ALMOST went for it. I've got a ginormous map book for work that has that crap, and the dozen or more pages that are falling out of it because of that shite binding is enough to make me go back to Kinko's with the map book and find the guy....throw it in his face and scream "SEE WHAT YOUR EFFING COMB BINDING ENDS UP LIKE?"
But anyhoo...I'm not the kind of guy who points out others' mistakes...much ;)
-
I haven't got it, I didnt find out about it until I had finished my cab, hell for that matter I didnt find out about THIS site until I had almost finshed my cab. I wish I had found either before starting my cab, It would have been nice to get some input before and during the build.

...spiral-bound one to use for reference while working on stuff so I could lay it flat
Somebody take a note, Drew said something that I found to be useful. ;) I'm taking my Haynes manuals in for (non-comb) spiral binding ASAP. Thanks for that tip.

a useful post well that will go down in the history books
-
...will go down in the history books
Which I will also have spiral bound.

Thanks for the tip. I'll go back and edit out all the useful stuff later on. Thanks for keeping your eyes out for stuff like that. I can't believe I didn't even notice such a blatantly obvious mistake on my part! ;)
Hey, good tip on the spiral bound history books!
TAG, YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING! ;D

Bah, comb binding is not durable. should have gone for wire spirals or better yet, plastic coil.
That'll learn ya.

Oooookkkkaaaay then ??? Thanks for playing!
That'll learn ya.
Yeah, that'll learn me to post pictures of what I did, reference what I did, explain why I DIDN'T do what you think I did, have OTHERS point out that what I did was cool and a good idea.......and have you miss all the pointers, indicators, signs, lights, bells, whistles, etc. ::)
Someone put this on their "back porch" for bass12, I don't think he gets out much ;)

I was actually respoding to your whingeing about "ass hat" comb binding. Agreeing with you really...
Oh Forget it. ::) What was I thinking not reading your post correctly. Heaven forbid others don't do the same. ;D

Your apology is accepted. In the future, please try to be as clear and concise as I always am. In fact, I think that should be a rule. Everyone try to be like DK. I like that rule ;D Well, except Stingray. He's good the way he is. His alter-ego, Stringray, must conform though.
Carry on....but straighten up, dammit. ;D
-
No worries. I had to code the apology rather crudely into my message so you could see it. I'm just mad I had to dumb it down just for you. ;)

One from B&N and one autographed copy from the 2004 Christmas Contest ;D
