Title: P360 joystick hook up issue.
Post by: SomeDude on November 09, 2005, 01:31:05 pm
Does anyone know how to wire the P360 joystick made by happ controlls to a Playstation game pad? Gotta find the 5 volts to power it for one thing. Also I have seen someone hook it up to the analog part of the game pad but I had no way of contacting them so they couldnt tell me how to do it. Also is this a good stick for fighting games? I would think it is since it is used in arcades. Can anybody help give detail instructions on where to solder it to on the PS game pad? Thanks!

I can't help you on where to solder to the controller, but I can assure you it is an awesome stick for fighting games.  It occasionally will bother you on games which you need to double-tap, due to the stiffness, but once you get used to it you will be happy.

The red wire is 5+ for official sony digital and dualshock and most ps pads.Like you cut open the cord, you will see many colored wires and red one is for p360.

It said he hooked up the Rotary joysticks to the Analalog stick.  My guess would be that he hooked the regular digital directions (up/down/left/right) to the D-Pad in parallel witht he P360's and that he hooked the rotational part up the the analog sticks since the rotation is an analog signal.  I could be wrong though.
