I've searched but havent really found anything. I need to know how to hook a bill acceptor up to a computer. I cant use a uvi kit because im using the serial port for the touchscreen controller but what about putting the output on a keyboard encoder?? I need instructions on how to do that. Thank you.

Maybe you could clarify what you want the bill acceptor to do. Do you want to input the coinage/bills to a program such as mame or a jukebox or do you want the bill acceptor to enable the computer?

Most modern bill acceptors can output it's signals two ways: RS-232 communication or pulses from relay contacts.
I would suggest talking to the fine tech people at www.pyramidacceptors.com

I want to hook up a bill acceptor to my computer runing jukebox. The monitor is touchscreen. So I would need a key board encoder right? any instructions on the net on how to do this? bill acceptor to keyboard encoder to computer.

another (probably silly) would be to run the bill acceptor via one of those usb - serial adaptors.
