Title: Doom III Won't Load. GPF's...

I can't get it to work at all. Far Cry and Half Life 2 work on this computer. I'm getting the GPF in atioglxx.dll just after it finishes loading the environment BUT before it goes into First Person Mode. Screen freezes with a graphic and then GPF's.

I am using: ATI Redeon 9800 Pro 128, 2.2 Ghz Pentium IV, 512K RAM.

I will continue researching it but though someone here might have seen this problem.

I will unintstall and re-install just to make sure...

Mine came with instructions to make sure the Steam server is installed and running, even if not networked.  Try that and see what happens.
