Title: New Naomi vertical shooter game (G.Rev's Under Defeat)

Just wanting to share, also posted on the shmups.com forum.  G.Rev's "Under Defeat" is a new Naomi GD-Rom based arcade shooter game, which will likely get a home console port (unfortunally on the XB360).  I've posted similar Naomi ports in the past for DC, so for those in the know, take a look at the future of 2d vertical shooters.

I think it looks pretty decent.  It seems like a prettier raiden 3 with a rotating helicopter.  Too bad about the 360 port....  It is unlikely that I will ever get to play this  >:(

looks light, notice how when the helo flew through smoke it was obscured,nice touch

I'm really happy that there are still people making vertical shooters in this day and age.   Companies like cave have been doing their fair share for a while now, and it's good to see others joining in.

ALthough this one looks VERY similar to something I was only playing the other day on Dreamcast.  I'll have to dig it up and check out what it's called....

I really don't see this game being any better looking or playing than Ikaruga or Radiant Silvergun.  The best vertical shooters ever :)

True these are all great modern shooters (I lean towards the Cave "Manic" gameplay myself), but Under Defeat does seem to be pushing the envelope when it comes to interactive environments, and effects.

Man cannot live on Ikaruga alone.  Variety is the spice of life. :)

This is true.   I just cannot help but compare vertical shooters to those two games every time I play one.

Looks like another good reason to hurry up and find a nice hi res monitor to use vertically with a DC in my AERO

looks like i found another post christmas gift i want.  will it be available to purchase for the dc in the states?  id import it though.
