Title: no Sync.. Help please!!

i'm having a nightmare with this PC seen as it woulnt accept my matrox graphics card!?

i've managed to get it to display windowsXP and mameWah on my arcade monitor using the card that came with it. (a Viper V550)
but i can only seem to play Neo-Geo games.. when i launch most of the others the "Sync ok" light going off on the J-Pac and the screen goes blank.

any tips and advice would be much appreciated.
i've got the MAME Resolution tool.

ok using the Matrox card in another PC i've got it again to display windowsXP and MAMEWAH through the arcade monitor.. but it still only seems to play neo-geo games!! when i launch most of the others the Sync light goes off on the J-Pac and the monitor turns off!

 ideas how i can sort this out.??

are you using some sort of software (powerstrip) to force the matrox card to output a 15KHz signal required for arcade monitors.

yeh. i'm using Powerstrip.

i got it working in the end by using the neo-geo game's resolution (which i knew worked ok) and setting it as the default in MAME for ALL games. not ideal i know, but it works and they look ok.
