Does anyone have the intermission videos for Ms Pac Man? Would seem to be a good startup video for an arcade. I've looked at many different sites and couldn't find them. Thanks.
-
I don't currently have such a video, but I have the ability to create it.
Let me know the details about the video format and size, and how I can send it to you.

Could you send one my way also?

If possible could you attach it to this thread? Then if anyone in the future is looking for it then they will be able to download it straight from the thread. You won't be able to upload it as an .avi or whatever but if you change the extension to .txt, .jpg, .pdf or .png then you will be able to attach it. Then when people download it they can just change the extension back to the original.

Well, I've created the video. It's not a perfect reproduction of the actual game, but I'd say it's a good recording just the same.
There doesn't seem to be a way to post it to this forum though, and I don't have any alternate servers to put it on that I could provide a link to.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried this?

That's just it. How do I attach a txt, or pdf, or png, or what ever?
I suppose I could make it a jpg and add it to the thread like an image, but I would think it would just create an error on the page given it won't be an image that could be rendered.

E-mail it to me. I can host it for you tempoarily for the other members..

It looks like it will be hosted now but thought I would tell you how to attach a .txt or whatever if you need to do it in the future. Just click the Additional Options tab when you are typing a post and you will see an attachment box. Click Browse, locate the file and your done!

There seems to be some inconsistency in network traffic (at least from my end), causing the video to have some choppiness. For best results, I suggest doing a "save as" first, then play it from your personal drive.
On a side note: This is all three intermissions plus the attraction screen and a view of all 4 mazes. I can create three smaller videos containing only the intermissions.
-
good lord, I thought maybe one of the 3 intermissions. not the whole introduction and everything.
Get out the ol' video editor I guess. other than that, nice work.

The PCM (WAV) audio is accounting for 21 MB of that 26.5 MB file. If you encode the audio to 96 kbps MP3, the whole file shrinks to just under 7 MB, and sounds the same.
-
Unfortunately, my video software isn't that complex. I just have a choice of mono/stereo 8/16 bit audio.
Anyone have a good suggestion on video editing software?
-
Use VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod plus an MP3 encoder such as Fraunhoffer or LAME. Do a direct stream copy on the video and full encode on the audio and select your MP3 codec and bitrate (96 kbps is plenty here).

Crazy Mack,
How do you create .avi and .mpg files? I am trying to figure out a way to take my homemade arcade graphic and turn it into a spinning, exploding (whatever) intro for my FE. Is it possible to take a .bmp or ,jpg and turn it into a 7 second intro?
Secondly, is there a way to convert .avi to .mpg?

tmpgenc dvd author (for makin dvds)
or cyberlink dvd solution (goes to .avi, .mpg, .divx, dvd, etc...)
only thing with this is that you cannot export to 16:9
these are the two that I use mostly.

I personally have a AverMedia video capture card and the software that came with it. It gives me a limited set of video formats to choose from at the time of recording, but it doesn't let me do any conversion of existing video files nor does it allow me to add special effects to videos.
I've been told that Pinnacle Studio Pro is excellent for editing and converting video, but I haven't yet purchased it myself, so I can't confirm whether it is.
