There are posts here occasionaly talking about going and picking up arcade parts and buttons. Are there any vendors in the state of Michigan that have a store that you can walk into? Maybe something in the Detroit area even. If there aren't is there anything in Chicago or northern Indiana? I live in West Michigan but I love road trips and travel that area often so it wouldn't be a big deal to drive to. It would be nice to be able to see and feel parts instead of ordering them blind.
Oscar's in Detroit I think, does he have a store?

Happ's & Wico are both just north of here(Chicago) I think. Although I don't think that they're exactly walk-in stores.
Are you just trying to avoid shipping charges or something, because I think Happ's will let you pick up your order.

Not trying to avoid shipping charges, paying sales tax is close to what shipping costs. I just thought it would be nice to be able to ask to see a competion joystick and a super joystick before plunking money down or if I needed something fast I would be able to get it. It would be cool to live in the same town as Bob Roberts or someone like him.
I've been looking for an arcade junkyard kind of guy but I haven't hooked up with anything yet. Occasionally you see posts of guys burning cabs or cabs piled in a heap. I'd like to find them before they do that to them.

Yeah, I work 1/2 hour away from Canada's largest Happs distributor.. It's great to walk in and grab what I need! ;D
Every city needs that!
