So the studio went pretty well, ended up going over by an hour and we still had no time to mix/master at all really. Although for being completely unmixed the songs came out pretty good, 2 of them are posted here www.myspace.com/blackheartband the other 2 will be posted once we go back to the studio next week for some mixing and a couple redos on vocals

4 songs in 6 hours? It takes like 3 minutes to sing an average song.
Sounds like you guys are bigger slackers than Stingray.

I just listened to Sleepless Nights. Pretty cool dude, pretty cool....
-
3 minutes of recording, 1 hour of drinking, 1 hour of sobering up, repeat.
-
heh, time flys in the studio its crazy. it took like 7 takes to get this one song recorded perfect, probably our most complicated one. its not posted though cause it needs mixing badly. sleepless took like 3 takes, wasnt bad. by the time we got to do vocals we basicly had to do everything in 1 take, im not too thrilled with the vocals on dreamer's remorse but im gonna redo them in a week so, yeah
-
so when's the cd coming out? i'm kinda curious now.
-
well we will have our 4 song demo finished in like 2 weeks. we have 2 more songs ready to record and were workin on a few more. were aiming for like a 7-8 song EP release by january. i know a lot of people on labels and some managers and stuff so were gonna be whoring out the CD like mad trying to get in somewhere

Well, they did actually go to the studio, which is more than I would have done. :)

How are your vocals coming along? I can't listen now, will when I get home. Your biggest improvement item with the last one was definitely simple confidence.
Step 1: Make sure you are confident in your own ability or no one else will ever be. Lack of confidence kills nearly anyone on stage.

well yeah im a lot more confident now in my vocals i got a lot of good reviews not just from friends but from strangers so that made me feel better. Honestly the vocals on the tracks up on the band page arent my best but like i said we had to do everything in 1 take and i was starting to get sick, so in 2 weeks when we go redo some stuff it will sound much better. i dont sing sleepless nights btw thats my other guitarist i do backups on that one
