Good luck!  I think that might be my next vacation destination.  The last few have been high-energy affairs (NYC, San Fran, Italy).  Wife and I decided our next vacation needs to be in a resort, on a beach, with a spa.  Nothing to see or do.  Just a real vacation.  I've heard you can do that very inexpensively in the Dominican Republic.

Wow dude the dominican is such an amazing place, I went there right AFTER march break (so I had 2 weeks off) with the family :)  I was in grade 7 I think, but wow it was amazing.

Best part was, they served ya alcohol as long as your parents werent around :)

Fantastic place, take LOTS of pictures.  You may think you took enough, but you wont, so take more.
