Title: What do you think of this stuff as a CP coating?
Post by: IG-88 on October 30, 2005, 09:26:33 am
I saw this stuff on a model railroading show used for rivers and lakes and whatnot. I thought it might make a good CP coating. The marble affect is pretty cool. Didn't find a price tho. Anybody tried this out before?

I've used this to make rivers on my train layout actually, as well as another brand of pretty much the same stuff.  It works really well and is fairly simple to apply.

We added a slight touch of color to one of our applications, and it worked well.  Never tried a marble finish though, although it doesn't seem to difficult.

Dunno how much that stuff is, but if you're looking for something DURABLE, use Hammerite.
