Title: Need help - Happ UGCI
Post by: vmax4800 on January 20, 2003, 06:19:27 pm
I have built a MAME arcade system using a Happ UGCI.  Attached to the UGCI are 2 joysticks (6button), tracball (3button), player 1 start button, player 2 start button, Coin 1 button, and Coin  2 button.  I have used   MAME.62, MAME.63 and MAME32 .62, versions driven by MAMEFE as a front-end. Everything is working fine except I cannot get the player buttons or the coin/credit buttons to work (still have to use the keyboard). Happ Controls provides a test program that shows the player/coin buttons are reporting and registering properly, but theses buttons still won't work in the games. Keyboard re-mapping is not possible on the Happ UGCI for player and coin/credit buttons so that solution is out.

I have tried going into the general and game specific configuration (using TAB) I enter on the field to change but when I press any player or coin buttons the game does not recognize any of them.  I have used config to change Joystick buttons and trackball buttons and that works perfectly.  I have been trying various things for days.  Thanks in advance for any assistance

I know this thread is from when I was in high school but has anyone got an answer for this yet?
