Title: smash tv is shoot a joystick movment

when you shoot in smash tv is it contrlled by joystick? ive noticed there is like left/right as 1 setting etc?? ???

Yup.. it's a dual 8-way game.  Left stick moves, right stick fires.

yes its possible but it makes the game basically impossible to play well.  the game is hard enough...but playing with one joystick and buttons for firing sucks.

I use the buttons for fire and seems to work okay.
You just have to press 2 buttons for the diag (Upper Right = Up + Right ).

2 joy is best but 1 joy + 4 buttons still good.

I used to own the JAMMA board and I had it set up with 4 buttons for firing (in a diamond configuration). Worked fine once I got used to it. The game has infinite continues so, it's not like it matters that much (unlike Robotron).

The best method is simply to map your right joystick to p2's joystick.  It means no 2-player action, but at least it's playable.
