Title: Golden Axe (MAME Cabinet)
Post by: Animeka on January 19, 2003, 07:29:17 pm
Still a work in progress, but I'd say it's 90% complete...

www.animeka.net in the MAME project section. Not a lot of talk, a few pictures for now...

I still need to finish the 2nd control panel (4-way, spinner and trackball) as well as getting the panels powdercoated or something to give a nice finish. Then, lights for the coin door, trackball etc...

Nice(actually very CLEAN)

"MARCK DE QUEBEC" ;D
I got a real quick question, you originally had laminate on your cab and you painted over the laminate? ???

or it was just wood(the sides)?

The MAME marquee is printed on regular paper using an inkjet printer. The D&D one, I bought and will resell, it's too big and I don't want to cut it, it looks too nice :)

I finally found 2 Golden Axe marquees: a broken original marquee, (which we'll scan and edit/fix) and a Death Adder marquee. I'll try both to see which one gives the best results and I'm all set for that :)

It's Marc actually ;)

The sides were a wood finish laminate yes. I bought laminate paint and covered everything (well a layer of primer first to cover it, then paint).

The front/center parts of the cabinet were replaced by black melamine boards, as I wanted the cab to be a bit wider.
