Title: Easy Controller Hack for PC USB and XBOX

Hey everyone, I was looking into hacking a controller PCB for the xbox. I've read a few places on how to hack an official xbox controller PCB, but the official xbox controller PCB seems kinda like a beotch to hack. I had a few Mad Catz MicroCon controllers lying around, one which the case had been chewed up by a dog  :'(. Well I decided to open up the controller to unveil a beautiful easy-to-hack PCB. There are holes for each solder point per button. Also another great thing about this is there is a little wire harness for the Ground, Right, Left, Down, Up. So easy to hack!!! ITS UNBELIEVABLE. The real good news to those who don't know is that an Xbox controller is backwords compatible with a PC, meaning its compatible with MAME and other applications a like. I didn't really know if this subject was proper for Consoles only because it works with PC too via USB. Well as for USB, this is just too simple. You take a female end of a usb cable, any usb cable will do. You just cut the end of the wire off, splice the wires and match the colors. Piece of cake. Now you need to download the windows compatible usb driver for the controller its located as this address http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html

Now get soldering, this is great. 8)

Also, there are USB Adapters for X-Box too

Have you tried hacking the analog sticks?  If not, what are you waiting for!!??!  ;)

If I had the money to buy a couple of the Happs Analog sticks then I think hacking them to the xbox controller would be simple.  But 90 bucks for a single stick is a little much.

Depending on where in the world you are (ie if you are in the US) you might be able to pick up some cheap on ebay...

I think the analog hack would be damn simple with this controller. But the standard Xbox controller...not so much.
