It's from Germany. I know most gambling machines (for money) in Germany are small "hanging" machines, but never saw anything like this....nice one !

I've seen other games in the same style of cabinet on KLOV. I think they were listed as being for cruise ships. There is one shown on the Phoenix listing.

Well, it doesnt surprise me that there are more units like this. As I mentioned, I already knew that Germans like to hang their gambling machines to the walls. They are very typical for Germany, can't remember I saw them anywhere else....
which is a bit strange in a sense, since they are great space savers.
So it's not very surprising they made videogames in this format. They are really meant for wall-mounting, not countertop.

I would have never guessed the wall hanging, but it makes perfect sense. I'm definitely gonna have to check out an arcade when I'm in Germany.

Mmm, well haven't been to any arcades in Germany, but usualy these money game machines are in bars, restaurants etc. So my guess is they were meant for that market.

i can see bartops in bars, but standing at a wall and playing a game on something like that looks ergonomically difficult. i guess you could have chairs...but still.

Mmm, I don't really see the difference between standing at a full size arcade cab and something like this that hangs on a wall at the right hight for standing ?
At least it looks more comfortable than playing a cocktail.

Had to answer here, as I am from Germany! :D
You would be disappointed if you go to german arcade these days - the golden days are over, most at all you'd find big simulator machines. (which I never saw any sense in - why should I sit in a plastic car to play a game? But that's just me) Other videogames are mostly missing - excerpt maybe a House of the Dead 3 when you're lucky!
At most there are only those money gambler, not sure how they are exactly called in english, of course these are hanging on the walls as usual, but videogames hanging on the wall were only available for the golden age, Space Invaders, Galaga and such stuff!
Personally I enjoy a upright cab more.
