Title: Commodore 64 Configuration
Post by: More Cowbell on October 21, 2005, 05:45:54 pm
I want to have a Commodore 64 emulator run on my cab but I am unsure as to how to configure the joysticks and buttons. Is there a program or front end that will handle this for me or at least allow me to map the joys and buttons to the key presses? I currently have Mala and it would be great if I could do it with that but I am willing to move to something else if it works. Also, is there a particular C64 emulator that makes this easier? The one I have now is pretty much just a straight port of the C64 system (klonky scripts and all).
Thanks!

As far as emulators, check out WinVICE. Also check out a program called JoyToKey. It allows you to map joystick actions to keyboard input. There are a couple of these type programs out there. Do a search, here, on the forum and read up a bit.

I think it's one of the best. no problem configuring the inputs to match your configuration.

I second WinVICE....I seem to have had the most success with that on my cab.
