For anyone who needs a few hundred extra computers.

Do they come in other colours?
-
wtf would anyone do with that pile of crap, and who would purposely collect it all into 1 place???
-
Seph, I don't think you're old enough to understand why that collection could be desireable. You had to be there. Something similar might hit you in 10 years or so, I dunno. (Not an insult seph, just telling ya, that pile of junk could be a goldmine to one of us old fellers! :))
However, the presentation leaves a bit to be desired. Looks like a poorly kept collection. Wonder how many dead rats you get with that classic T1-994A? ::)

Ohhhhh TSR-80.... I worked on one of those. Wrote one of my first 'Hello World' programs on it. The mass storage system was second to none.... ;D
-
the picture really does nothing to enhance the auction. he could have at least polished up everything. it looks like you're buying trash.
-
I see a bicycle jammed in the middle of all that stuff. Some of it would be interesting, at least for a few minutes. Apple Newton, Atari Pong, Coleco Adam, etc. But not a heapipng mass pile of it -- without your own display museum on the side of your house.
-
nice, very nice............
-
The fact that everything's just kind of thrown in there in a huge pile along with a bunch of other junk seems to contradict his claim that "I was thorough in packing these items as I anticipated they would be stored for a long time and I wanted them safe." I wouldn't mind having a nice collection of classic hardware if I had a place to put it, but I have the feeling that whoever gets this really IS buying a big pile of crap. I can only hope that none of it was really nice before this guy got ahold of it.

that's vintage empty cigarette packs and budweiser beer cans........

Oh my god! I had to close the window before I bid on it. I'm one of the guys that looks at that lot and thinks "gold mine", despite the fact that I already own many of those items.

It is somewhat tempting to throw a bid on that stuff, but it would cost me $500+ in gas just to pick it up, not to mention the divorce fees. If someone ELSE had it it would be interesting to go through it -- and then leave it.
-
I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT! And I only live five hours away!
Oh man, that collection would be sweet. No way can I afford to buy it, move it or store it (forever) though.
And if the wife saw me pull up with a truck load like that I would be living in the storage unit with the computers.
C'mon Powerball ticket! Don't fail me now!
-
3 Days and its only US $132.50
-
I just want a Commodore Pet.
-
I'm tempted because it's in town here, but my wife would KILL me.
-
If it were within reasonable driving distance to me, I would have already bid. It's easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission. ;)

He has more pictures up now.

I've been trying to find a TI99 expansion box for a long time.
-
How about we make it a group buy?
Every one interested puts their name in.
Then we win the auction.
NoOne=NBA= agrees to pick it up and to Inventory it (gives him first dibs)
We draw names, first picked gets first pick and we go around until its all spoken for.
Crazy idea???
-
Yeah, since all I want is the expansion box and it would cost 10x its value to ship.
-
I'd want in if it were done. I think that as a group we're far to flakey to pull it off, though. ;)

Yeah, Id like that Apple Newton, and would want to go through all the software. and depending on software would then want the system it went with. But being fair in paying and dividing up stuff might be too problematic.
Any guesses as to the final price? I say around $400.
-
There's a lot of stuff there. If you get a couple of guys who are serious about vintage hardware I think it would go closer to $1000.
-S
-
Crikey. $1525 with almost a day and a half still to go! :o
It will be intersting to see what the final winning bid is.
-
$1525! Thats WAY over my estimate. I guess I am a cheap son-of-a-!@$#
-
pic is too big for me to take a really close look, but i see colecovision and atari 2600 amongst it all. definitely some worth there. buy the lot, sell everything individually back on ebay. other than the bits you keep obviously...
-
Oh man....only 20 hours left.....one of you guys that live close gonna pick up all this stuff or what?!
-
Winning bid: $1,635. Not bad. Depending on what there is, it could be sold individually for more. But the seller would get nailed for ebay and paypal fees.
One of you guys get it?

I'm glad I forgot about it. Had I been online when it ended, I'd probably be consulting a divorce lawyer right now. ;)
