Ive seen the ones this site has links to, and its been helpfull. I understand how it all works, and after playing around with the soldering iron today im reasonably sure I can handle the actual soldering. But im having trouble with finding the solder points on the controllers I have.
I was going to hack my Madkatz DC pad first, but the circuit board on mine is different that both of the versions that are shown here. Im still pretty sure I know which solder points are which, but it would be really helpfull if I could find a good Dual Shock PS1 hack guide. Or a good Saturn one.

Hey man I can see your a newbie just like I was, but hey now I am almost done with my first controller. I am going to give you the same answer that I got: follow the paths on the board and you shall find what you are looking for. It really does help. If you do this you will say the same thing I did to myself "I am such an idiot", he he. Well I know that isn't of much help. Thanx.

There is a lot more to hacking controllers than just following some persons step by step picture instructions. If you really want to "learn" how, Radio Shack has some dirt cheap beginner books on circuits, and how they function, how to use a multimeter to take measurements and trace circuits, and lastly how to solder properly. Its well worth the investment.
