Hey guys, I just wanted to make a thread for people to post their custom control panel designs for the program Custom Control Panel Designer from mameroom.com. I think it'd be nice for some novices like myself to have some good layouts to start with. Thanks!

I don't know about the other guy but I need a layout for The Simpsons CP

Here is mine drawn in solid works. Nice and simple. I usually just play street fighter type games and golden tee. But maybe this will help with some dimensions. I used sheet metal for the top of the control panel so the joysticks will stick out farther and supported it with wood underneath. The mouse buttons are on the sides like pinball flippers and I have a pause button underneath. I actually designed this cab from the simpsons cabinet, but the control panel is a different layout.

Super cool,
I was thinking of starting a CP layout repository, as far as I know there is not a mecca that people go to to get their CP layouts.
Cheers,
Craig

I couldn't agree more. Lets start one so the newbs can have a place to start. I found that aspect (CPs) of planning to be the most challenging.

That's a great idea!
I can't tell you how many thousands (ok, maybe a bit less) of blogs, websites, and forum posts I had to dig through while looking at other's CP's to get ideas/inspiration/tips.
(angle joysticks on 4p or not, distance to screen for trackball, how many/layout of buttons, etc..)
It would be nice to have one spot for people to share their designs so other's can learn and get inspiration!
