Title: Picture of a de-cased TV...
Post by: Sinner on October 06, 2005, 12:21:01 pm
Does anyone have a picture of a de-cased TV?

I'm looking to put one in my cab, but before I do, I would like to know how it mounts...I have de-cased a 15" monitor before, and all it has are 4 areas where you can put bolts in...

Is a 27" tv the same??

Thanks...

My 27" TV was the same. It had 4 bolts to hold the tube and some screws for the board.

Just look at the mounting diagrams of any old arcade monitor at happs, *most* TV's are the same - the 4 mounting ears at the corner of the tubes.

Some dont have those, and are basically friction fit into the plastic case.  I haven't seen one like that personally, but I've heard tell they exist.  I'd guess they'd be smaller sets, 13" and the like, because I just dont see a 100 lb 30" tube being held by friction.

Most 19 or 20" I've decased look just like an arcade monitor when naked since that's what they are.
