I went to this auction in Beleville (outside St. Louis) a couple months ago:
http://www.superauctions.com/
there is another one on October 29, 2005 that I am going to
At the last one, there were about:
40 fruit machines
30 Pinball - new and mechanical
125+ uprights
10 driver/cockpit models
20 cocktail models.
A few of those wierd walmart/car/kid rides things. There even was a change machine.
Games were basically from galaga, pacman, to hydra, lethal forces. I should have taken my camera but did not know what to expect. The prices were great. A D*mned working T-MEK 2 -player cockpit sold for $550.
The highest prices were the cocktail models, especially ms pac man - one went for around $500. the uprights all basically sold for $200 - $350. They were all turned on prior to the auction, and on free-play, so you could play and inspect the games.
I'll be the only one there takin pictures this time, but will post soon after. I'll throw some low bids out to see what happens.

That last auction in belleville was the first one Ive ever been to. I think Im going to be a regular now. I just hope the games go that cheap at the next one. I got a Twin Eagle 2 for $35 I took the controls, game board & coin door and gave the rest away. Id like to get a driving game this time around.

There hasn't been a SuperAuction in New England in years, and even then they only held one.

Just a few notes: The SA people don't take kindly to picture takers.
Also, its good that he mentioned this. Some people may not know. It has to become common knowledge somehow.

Good points, I will not take a camera since it makes sense that they would not like it. There was another show in Marion Illinois at http://www.popbumper.com/supershow/ about two weeks ago but I was unable to make it. Luckily this show was the 1st annual, so my dog and I had not yet heard of it.
Im also looking for a driving model. At the last auction, some dude outbid me by $10 - (Crusin USA - total price $245) but before I could raise my bid - the auctioneer said SOLD! - to the other guy! Oh well.
