Hey all, just removed the "mylar" as Aussies call it from my cab's marquee to find there is a fluorescent light inside there.
It's not working and since the cab is 13yrs old I'd replace it anyway (almost certainly with a Cold Cathode Light) but can someone tell me if it's even hooked up from this pic:
Notice on the left side (of pic) I've circled the end isn't connected to a cap & wiring like the right side. The cap and wiring exists but you can see it in this pic so I *roughly* drew it in.
It's probably laughable to some but since I've had next to no experience with fluoro's - do I just hook this connector up to the left side and see if it goes?

There should be a connector plugged into both ends of the tube. The one side is unplugged because the tube is burned out.
Put in a new tube and starter.

Thanks Ken!
I did forget to mention it looks burnt out but I guess it's fairly obvious I suppose. Looks even more black in real life than the pic too.
I will give this a try, It might just be easier to use the fluoro after all, I know CCFL will look great, flicker less, possibly use less energy? but I only really want the light on for when guests come over.
It should be fairly easy to wire a switch up so that I can choose when I want it on or off right?
I'm trying not to mod this cabinet too much.
