Im looking for some sort of stool or bench to use with my super neo 29 candy cab. Im currently using a cooler but the cab is about to be moved into a family room and Id like to get something nicer. Im having trouble finding pics of a japanese arcade but Id like to find out what is used there. Everything I find around here is the wrong height. Any advice? Any one with a candy cab that has found a place to buy a good stool please let me know.

Ever been to IKEA? They have a wide variety of stools at very good prices.

If you are referring to the height of stools for candy's... it depends on the candy. My Aero City sits really low. 18" is ideal. On my Korean Crown candy you can get by with a std chair without feeling like a hunched over giant.

Do you have the forby? I saw them on Himura's website but they didnt look very strong the low cost also makes me think that they are low quality. I wieght about 225 and it looks like I would crush it.

I tip the scales at arround 250 and haven't broken one yet. It even has enough diameter to accomodate my fat ass. ;D

I found a pic of what Im really looking for. If I cant find these In a few days I will probaly just order the ones from Ikea. They look pretty cool and are definately in my price range.

I use a cushioned, rolling office chair for my candy cabinets (Taito Egrets). It's a fine height and very comfortable. Screw stools :P

Like Gozur, I use the Ikea Forby, they are kinda cheap feeling, but what do you want for $5 a chair! These fit perfectly under my Astro and Windy cabs. My exceleena cab is a bit taller, so for that I do what clubninja wrote, I just got some free rolling desk chairs and took the backs off them (they are adjustable in height).
BTW: the chairs in your pic are ~$80-$100 a piece. Japanese arcades also have square ones, again very pricey. You'd have to import them.

by the way thats a nice set of games are those all yours? A exceleena is on my wishlist, If only I could find one for sale closer to me.

Yep those are my cabs. If you really want those expensive chairs, the shmups.com forum is getting ready to make another large import order of hardware (someone there ordered these chairs before, so they can give you a good estimate of the final price).

I beg to differ. I have never been to your house, sat on any of your stools, or played any of your cabs. My wife also doesn't like you claiming me as "yours". She said to tell you I am clearly HER fat ass, and if you wanna disagree, she'll knock the taste right outta yer mouth ;D
