Title: Noob Question - Okay to use Fireworks to design Marquee?

The only graphics program I have other than Paint is Macromedia's Fireworks.  I've only used it to do some very basic graphic stuff for web pages but I'm thinking it would work okay to design my artwork for the cab I'm building.

Comments?

What file format would I save in and what dimensions should I use for a Marquee? 

I've read comments on starting with RGB or CMYK (I probably spelled that wrong) and I'm not sure how that translates into using Fireworks.

Any helpful comments would be appreciated.

It's fine. If your printer can't handle fireworks files.. you can always save out a high-res JPG for them.

If you plan to use mamemarquees.com... they like RGB files. Fireworks is primarily a web graphics creation software... if it doesn't have multiple color spaces to choose from, then that means it is defaulting to RGB. Just remember to make your file at a minimum of 150 DPI, better if it's 300 or over... but 150 at a minimum.
