Title: WAY OT: Broken Robosapien Wanted

I thought about posting this in Buy/Sell/Trade but since I cannot make a case that it is somehow arcade related, I am trying this board first.

I am looking for a Robosapien V1 that can be donated (or obtained for a very reasonable price) for testing.  I am trying to test some modifications I have in mind, but do not (yet) want to hack into the one I have now lest I fry it.

I say broken as I do not care if the arms or legs are broken, I just need one that will still power up and accept commands from the remote.

The remote is not neccesary, but if you have one I'll take it.

Also, if your robosapien happened to wander off, and you have an orphaned remote, I can use that as well.

My boss has one of those. Very cool toy. If I had one I'm afraid I wouldn't turn loose of it. So what are you up to anyway?

The first (tactical) goal is to control the Robot directly from a PC using serial input (bypassing the infared remote and receiver on the robot.)

The strategic goal(s) are much to sinister to reveal at this stage.  :)

I'm not sure I see the purpose of taking a wireless robot and making him wired... do you need to put him on a leash?  Does he run away?

Are you sexually abusing your robosapien?

By the way, I should have mentioned that I have a good deal of Arcade stuff I can trade for a roboSAPIEN  as well...
