Title: CP Top;even with monitor shelf, or slightly above?

i build a UAII, and bout to build the CP, its 5 1/2" fro cp base to the top of the monitor shelf.  Do i build the CP so it is 5 1/2 inches, or do i go up to like 6 or 6.5,

any help is appreciated..

Not sure of the exact measurement you want but my control panel base is 5 1/2" thick and it fits perfect on the UAII

that would be exactly even with the monitor shelf...
if it was lets say, a 1/2 inch higher, would it cause any problems,

nahh you could go another 1/2" easy, the way the UAII is setup there is a small flat spot one the fronts of the top two pieces of the control panel sides, it will accept larger and look fine.  The only thing to keep in mind is that this UAII is HUGE, so don't go to large on your CP height because it will rapidly become uncomfortable to play with.  I'm 6'1" and 5 1/2" is about as large as I would want to go, I doubt seriously the other 1/2" will matter though.
