im trying to build a cab running both psx and n64 emus, is there another good fronend aside from mamewah and atomicfe? will gamelauncher for windows work with these two emus?
-
There are lot of good front end which could run n64 and psx emulators.
GameEx and Mala could be good.
But what is your problem with Mamewah or Atomic?
-
Is there a psx emu which exits on the ESC keypress?
-
I think there are. (ePSX may be ?)
But anyway, if you use Atomic (0.14), you should be able to exit with ESC key from your emulator even if the emulator doesn't manage that.

Epsxe uses the "esc" key, and it's the most compatible PSX emulator that I've found. I use mamewah with Epsxe and it works great. I don't even have to use a bat file to execute it. Anyway, can't tell you about any other front end's functionality. Mamewah gave me many troubles in the past, but the most recent version was fairly easy to configure, especially with all of the tutorials, and sample configs available out there.
As always, ymmv.

how about for a n64 compatible frontend? also how do i shutdown xp with a button press?
-
mamewah has a shut down option, that will shut down XP for you.
For whatever reason, screenshotarchive.com has a bunch of modified "esc" key emulators available for download, including Project 64 modded to use "esc"

Atomic can run N64 emulators and shutdown your PC too.
