Title: Button Lighting
Post by: JONTHEBOMB on October 01, 2005, 07:39:26 pm
Hello,

1) I have searched around and I know it's somewhere but to make sure I have to ask this:  For a Happs Competition Button I would use a 3/16 drill bit for the bottom of the button house to have a hole where I could put a LED in right?

2) I imagine the light in the button does not show through very well when the room is lite up but does it show through when the room is dark?

3) Finally if in the future I wanted to swap the Happ buttons with  FXbuttons.com's clear translucent buttons are the holes the same size? (the happ button fits into a hole of 1.13 diameter according to their site)

Note: I do plan on using those Super Bright LED's.

Thankyou very much

3) Sounds like it is a yes according to the  Translucent Microswitch Buttons **www.fxbuttons.com** post by shawnzilla.  I'm wondering if anyone could give me just a simple yes or no answer for 1) or 2).

Thanks

1) Since leds come in different sizes and shapes it would really depend upon the size and shape of the led you are going to use.

2) Depends upon what color the button and led are and how bright the led is.
