Title: what jostick is needed

hey all what joystick would be needed to use like an xbox analogue stick for my cp? i know its not a 4 way but would an 8 way do? or what do i need?

Uhm, if you want to have analog controls for your Xbox games maybe you should use an Analog controller.  Otherwise the best you can do is to use an Ultimarc Xbox adapter and hook an 8-way joy to it.  It will act like you are pressing the analog stick at maximum pressure in 1 of 8 directions.

It could be done, but you would need to use expensive analog joysticks.  Roughly 90 bucks a pop.  Then you would have to hack it to your xbox controller pcb.  I know I am not up for 300-350 in parts for an xbox controller.

The X-arcade BYOA kit will allow you totoggle between analog and digital mode for whichever jioystick is connected but as mentioned with the Ultimarc solution it is as if it is at maximum pressure.
