Title: winxp in a cabinet- is it good?
Post by: starcrudph on September 30, 2005, 09:14:46 am
hi. i hear that winxp isnt good for cabinet since shutting it down improperly causes problems in the long run...has there been anyone successful in tweaking xp such that shutting it down doesnt cause any long term/short term damage to the cabinet's perfomance?

Is there a reason you have to shut it down improperly?

Either use a FE to shut the PC down properly, or have the power switch set up to shut down, and have the power switch easily accessible (but out of view).  I use an arcade button on the top of the cab.

XP is good for a cabinet, IMO.

many FE's do this

:-)

XP Rocks. You change settings so you barely know XP is there too (if you want)
