Title: wells 19c or 42a
Post by: fillup on September 28, 2005, 10:52:32 pm
27 Inch D9200 Digital Monitor - Universal (15/25/31 KHZ)
Identifier: WGM2792-U0TS42A

-or-

27" D9200 (31KHZ / 38KHZ) 19C
Identifier: WGM2792-U0TS19C

I want a 27' monitor that is easily mounted and  easily connected to a computer.  I will be using for arcade and for computer games.  So i would want one that would support higher resolutions.  Is the 19C the new version that officially supports 600*800?  Or does the 42A support as well but it is just not in the "older" description?  I am not that concerned with exact replication although that would be nice.  I want it to look as clear as possible.  I will be mounting in a cab with an opening for a 27' cab.  Are there any other viable alternatives.   I am good with wood and terrible with wires mind you so i want something that is more or less plug in and forget about it.

Thanx, Fillup

From what you posted, the second one with the 31/38khz could do SVGA (800x600), but not arcade resolutions (15khz).

I'd go with the first for a MAME cab, but there are more learned folks than me in here.

I believe both can just plug into a regular VGA out on your computer, I don't know if either require an iso transformer.
