Title: What gauge wire to to use for Imperial trackball hack?

Hi,

I'm getting ready to try my hand at an Imperial Trackball/ USB mouse hack.

What gauge wire should I use to go from the mouse board to the trackball molex connector?

No matter what: stranded
Now the guage depends on what you are doing.  If you will be crimping on terminals, just pick the guage your terminals are rated for.
Generally, I like to use 22 guage wire.  It is not too thin in that it can be easily stripped with a regular wire stripper, and it doesn't take up a lot of space when routing the wires.
