I have two purple neon 12-inch 12-volt tubes lying around. My cabinet is in the process of being constructed. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I might be able to incorporate these neon lights into the cab?
The only thing I've come up with is perhaps mounting them on the back, exterior of the cabinet so that they make the wall glow behind the cabinet.
Any ideas?

I'd make light sabres out of them

Don't forget to fill them with gasoline.

You should rig up some kind of bezel for them, kind of like how the Tron cabinet is laid out...

If you post your cabinet design we'll have a better idea of where they could fit and where they could be effective

Whoops. Here is my Project Thread (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=43565.0).
This is a standard Project Arcade (Lusid) cabinet.

I like the under the cabinet illumination.

I'd go with against the wall. If you had a design other than Lusid's, which returns a bit under the CP, some under CP lighting on the coin door would rock.

LOL I immediately thought of those knuckleheads as well.

OK, I just had to figure out what you're talking about. It amazes me there's actually a news story with "lightsaber" and "gasoline" in it.
