I got an email today from Bob about a part I asked for right before Katrina hit.
-
and.... how did he respond? he back in business already?
-
He says he never got my check, now I have a check floating around in the water that will be haunting me for the rest of my life (at least it's only $14) ::)
-
Get the bank to cancel the check!
-
It may cost more to cancel the check than it's actually worth. Most banks have a fee for that service.
Good to see Bob doing well.
-
Yep, business as usual. I will be getting my diode :)
-
Glad to hear he is allright........
My bank charges $35 to cancel a check...
You might get the bank to waive the fee given the circumstances. If they don't ask for the manager and suggest to that person that maybe your money would be safer somewhere else.

Assuming it was a check (and not money order), why even worry about cancelling it? If Bob says he didn't get it, it's pretty certain the thing has been destroyed. It's never gonna be cashed and you can just add the 14.00 back to your records. And if you reorder and it miraculously appears at Bob's house a month from now, I'm sure he'll tear it up for you.
