Title: WinIPAC
Post by: Willypill on September 25, 2005, 08:14:43 pm
I set up all my controls in WinIPAC and when I click on 'Program', it starts to program and when it gets to player 3 & 4, my computer makes a beep and it just stops there.  It won't go any futher than player 3 & 4.  I have a 4 player control panel.  What would be the problem?

Did you configure WinIpac so that it knows you have a IPAC-4 and that the connection is correct (PS/2 vs. USB)?

Yes I did this.

Why would the IPAC 4 not be responding to players 3 & 4?  I have it wired up exactly the same as players 1 & 2.

On the IPAC 4, only one light is on when I power it up.  It's the player 1 & 2 light.  The other light never comes on.  This is frustrating.

Have you emailed Andy at Ultimarc?  I would do that.  And check out their forums.  Someone may have had the same problem posted there.

And you made sure you are connecting the wires to the proper blade on the microswitches?  Make sure that no part of a wire is touching another wire/blade.

Also, double check your grounds from players 3/4.  If you daisey chained them, you should be ok, but it never hurts to double/triple check everything.
