Howdy,
I am going to try to get DOS running on my daughter's cab, can you guys recommend a good FE?
Thanks,
Craig

I'm pretty sure GameLauncher will be what you're looking for.

It's good for a standard pc monitor. Otherwise you can laways use AdvanceMenu or ArcadeOS.

ArcadeOS.

Thanks, I will take a look at those 3
Just wanted to know my options, are there any other DOS frontends worth mentioning?

I used MameMenu in my old DOS days and was quite happy with it. It's VERY easy to set up.

Rock on fellas,
I had good luck with mamemenu and game launcher, I found arcadeOS and AdvanceMenu to be complicated.
Mamemenu crashed unless I had it set to "resolution 2" and was somewhat unresponsive when scrolling the menu, otherwise was super easy to set up and super simple to use. Good if you want simple and easy.
GameLauncher is probably the best if you want to run multiple emulators, a little more difficult to set up but pretty solid afterward.
I am experimenting with old PII computers - I have DOS 7 (via Fraggal's boot CD) and dmame .61 running very fast by setting mame's resolution to 320x240 and sound to 11025 khz. I am also using GeForce video cards (that probably helps)
These "anchors" can power cabs if you ditch WinSlows!
Cheers,
Craig

I would second the GameLauncher recommendation; that's what I used when my cab was DOS.

I'll do it!
