Title: ?? about my Hantrex Polo 27" arcade monitor
Post by: brain21 on September 22, 2005, 04:58:14 pm
I just purchased a very lightly used, excellent condition Hanatrex Polo 27" arcade monitor.

I went to the Hanatrex site and looked for the manual, but they don't seem to have one.  They have one for the 28" and the 25", but not the 27"

I didn't want to trust the info in those manuals, as those are probably newer than my Hantrex 27" which the seller though was about 5 years old with almost no usage on it.

I tried contacting Hanatrex twice, and have yet recieved no response from them...

Here are my questions...

1) I don't see an vious isolation transformer in the monitor.  Does this one have a built-in iso-transformer like many modern monitors do, or is the chassis live when powered on?

2) The the monitor discharge itself?  My understanding is that many modern monitors have a feature where they will discharge themselves.  Not that I would trust it implicitly, but it would be good to know.

3) Is there a manual for this thing anywhere?  I think they had pdf manuals for the polo 25" & 28", but again, since this is a slightly older monitor, I wouldn't go by the manuals for their latest models.

4) Is this thing standard or medium resolution?

If anyone has a 27" Polo and can give me the info I would greatly appreciate it since I don't know if Hantarex will ever get back to me.

Thanks,
