Title: mame suppot for light guns

what is the first version of mame to come out with light gun support?
or can mame 56 be made to see a light gun?
Reason I ask is ,I would prefer to use my 700 megahertz HP PC as my gun cab
but if I need a newer version of mame I will use one of my other cabs with a stronger PC

IIRC 0.62.  ActLabs actually came out with a special version to support their gun (again IIRC).  Then the next official release had it included.
