I was wondering how some of you installed pedal assemblies into your cabs. My cab is on casters so it's raised off the floor a couple inches. I was concerned about installing the assembly flush with the bottom of the cab and then having someone stomp on the pedal and rip it from the cab. Plus it would be uncomfortable because you'd have to have your foot slightly raised off the floor at all times. But if I install the assembly so it's flush with the floor, then it would be hard to move my cab around on its casters.
Anyways...just looking for suggestions/recommendations/examples.

You could put the hinge in the bottom so when it flips down part of the "floor" of the cab flips with it. Then it should sit flush to the ground. Kind of like an "L" shape on a hinge.

I did the old hideaway flip down trick and am very happy with them for the most part. One thing though because its a stand up cab, your left foot gets sore after awhile with all with all your weight on it while you use the pedals with your right foot. If I was to do it again, I would make the pedals slide out on a carrier out of a "garage" type system down below--uses less vertical space for the same effect.

My pedals have a hinge on the gas that you can connect to a piece of wood when the height changes or the floor covering changes. You just connect the right size piece of wood. I have casters but I am not using them right now so I just have the hinge on the floor. Most pedal assembly are very strong and can take serious abuse. I mounted mine with 2x4's to the frame for extra strength. I suppose you might have to make your assembly height adjustable if the casters lift the pedals too high.

Hi.
I have the same pedals but to make it easier to mount and use, i fabricated another pedal straight onto the arm.
I got the pedals and a Chase HQ turbo shifter free when i bought this wheel for

See mine here (2/3rds of the way down). Happ pedal unit with the mounting plate removed. My cab is on casters but is low enough for it to be more than comfortable.

What did you do to "clean" them up?
random orbit sander (220 grit)
clear satin sealer
