Okay, I was taking a fuse out of the power driver board on my Twilight Zone. Not much room around it and it's in there tightly. It shatters.
How can one get these fuses out without breaking them?
-
I've worked on a TZ before and changed fuses a couple of times. I know how you feel about the fuses being in so tight. I think I just ended up using a small precision screwdriver to pop up one of the fuse ends.
-
That is exactly what I was trying to do. I couldn't possibly have used enough force to get the thing out without risking damage to the PCB. The fuse just shattered when I tried it.

Okay, looking for a replacement... I understand SB and FB, but what is NB?
-
NB = Normal Blow (a.k.a. fast blow).
-
Oh! So I can get an 8A FB fuse in its place, yes?
How does voltage fall in here? The manual doesn't give a voltage rating. I'm assuming it's not critical. Pinballlife.com's replacement fuses all seem to be rated 250v, if that helps.

An 8A FB and 8A NB are the same. The fuses pinball life sells are perfectly fine for pinball/video game uses.

Thanks. I'm going to try Radio Shack first, though, since I want to get this resolved ASAP.
